help on coilovers install

do any1 know any sites that i can go to for the complete coilovers installation for a 89 240sx hatchback.. i already installed them from info that i got from a friend... but i still think i did something wrong cuz my car still looks stock height if not a little bit higher.. i lowered the adjusters it looked the same height.. i raised it, it looked the same height... it didn't give me that slammed look that i wanted... the coilover said 0-4inches drop but i didn't see that.. can any1 tell me wut i did wrong or any sites where i can read about it more
