Engine Questions?? Need Help.

I have a 1987 Chevrolet Silverado with a 305 TBI engine. I plan on changing engines but I"m not sure what I"m going to put in it. I was considering a 330 HP crate 350 with 64cc Vortec cylinder heads (part number 12486041). Can anyone tell me what kind power that engine would make if it was TBI equipped with a Gm Performance Parts Vortec TBI intake manifold (part number 12496821)? Would that make a good combination?- If not what are some good combinations- cams, heads, etc...Any help is greatly appreciated!!

Not sure, but I had a 99 Chevy pick up, a big heavy 4x4 one, the last year of the 350, and it was very fast for a stock bare bones pick up Awesome power, much much more than a TBI 305

Re: Engine Questions?? Need Help.

I don't know what the HP would be but I'm pretty sure that you can't use your original injectors from the 305. I don't know how many different ones ther are but I read on another site where the injectors had to be changed when going from a 4.3L to a 5.0L which is less of a C.I. increase than 305 to 350. The body itself may not flow enough.
