Got Some Questions ...

Howdy ya'll

Just bought me a 1988 K5 Blazer 4x4 350 automatic and yes, I have some questions.

First, where can I get parts online for the K5? I can get used parts (locally I mean, not online) but is there any place that I can get most everything at that one store? It's nothing big I mean like replacement windows, door handles, grilles, etc. Not like an engine or a transmission.

Also, when I drive there is this high pitch noise that is constant while accelerating? Any idea what this could be? It's not the radio or the airconditioner or the brakes. It only happens when I push or let off of the gas pedal. It gets louder the faster I go and it is not there when braking/coasting/idling.

Third, the parking brake light will not turn off. The guy I bought this from said you only had to change out a fuse, but I really have no idea what to do to be honest lol. The brake is not on and the brake works and everything, just that little red light on my dash won't turn off.

Hmmm what else ... ah yes. The previous owner mentioned some kind of owner's manual or something like that. He said that it comes with a CD and it will tell you how to do pretty much anything to the Blazer. Anyone know what he is refering to?

Thanks a lot and I look forward to getting to know ya'll.

usally there is a switch where the parking brake pedle hits a turns off the light, try disconnecting it an that should fix your problem with that, about the noise when pressing/leting off check for some vaccum leaks
an try getting a haynes book from your local part store

The light was because the brake line in the back was torn in 2! LoL was some hard 4x4ing.

Anyway ... the hissing/vacuum noise was my holley carborator and my dad said that it wasn't bad (he knows a lot more about trux than me), just said it might be anoying but was not a bad sound.

Just thought I would keep ya'll updated
