whats up fellow DSM'ers,
i need your guys opinion on sumetin. I got a friend who wants to race me...i know i know, there are so many threads like this one and ya'll is prolly gettin annoyed but it's always nice to get someones opinion on things. Anyways, so this gyu has a 1993 acura integra rs manual, and wants to race me, no mods in it at all. And i got a 1993 eagle talon esi with a mitsubishi cyclone engine in it...Now heres the tricky part, his is manual and mine is automatic, i was wondering who you gyus would think would win in a drag race??? |

you SHOULD win, no problem. an integra rs is by no means a car to race in. since your car is turbo and you have a cyclone motor (assuming you still have the cyclone intake manifold on it), you should get a very nice lead off the line, with the quicker spool thanks of the manifold. anyways, you will win.

Re: ?
Unfortunantly its not a turbo...yet
![]() yea i know and the only advantage he would have on me would be that his car is more light weight and its manual, but i didnt think it would mean much...and yea i do still have the cyclone manifold...thanks anyways. |

Re: ?
NO TURBO! this could be a close race. i race my 95 tsi awd it has an auto and I just ran a 13.987 at my local 1/4mi track i like the aut better, and i have raced a few integras and won no problem. for you though, you are pretty even as far as horse power goes, and he does have you by a few pounds. so if he is a good driver and can shift well, then you will lose, but if he makes any mistakes the race could be in your favor. Good Luck, and p.s. ................ get a turbo!

Re: Re: ?
Yea yea, dont hafta rub it in :P,
But yea he isnt the best driver, first time driving manual. Also my car seems in better shape than his, i had new timing belt and transmission about a month ago, and he hasnt even checked the oil yet. And if theres anyone out there that can tell me where i can get a 16g turbo for really cheap, it would be greatly appreciated |

Re: ?
not the best idea to put a turbo on a nt 4g63 you have to run real low boost and only stant to gain 20-30 reliable hp, your best bet is a 4g63t swap, you can get a whole motor and ecu for about $800.01. as for the turbo though, go on e bay!

Re: Re: ?
Yea e-bay for sure but i was also thinking of just getting a second gen DSM, either a 95 tsi awd or a 97 gs-t, either one would be great and i saw 2 of em for sale but im kinda short on cash so i'll wait till summer and hopefully there will be a great car up for sale, if anyone out there is selling a manual 2nd gen DSM, e-mail me at [email protected] with pictures, thanks
