"load problem"

What you are experiencing is not a malfunction.

The car is just weak. Read the load capacity, it is like 890 lbs, i think.

So your car is just bogged down, I have the same problem, it is more accurately a 3 passenger.

A far as solutions (other than buying another car or spending 5 tims the cars value)- get high quality 4 electrode bosch plugs. at 5.99 each (only 3 cylnders) it is a cheap and easy few extra horsepower. New wire set also smart.

Use synthetic oil, a fram toughgard filter, and a high flow airfilter too.

Tranny slipage- If your car is manual, your clutch is shot! If it is auto, it might be shot, but slippage will ruin it FAST. Get that fluid changed, use a sythentic transmission fluid, and Lucas addative for automatic transmssions. It may be too late.

Final thought- thin friends!

yes, i assumed it was just weak...this is my first car and i bought it used for $500 bucks. it is a great little car i love it but i am anxious for summer/spring so i can tweak it. i believe it has fairly new ignition because it starts up great even when it is -20 (brrrrrr!!!) but not sure about spark plugs. on my list of replacements are spark plugs and an air filter, so maybe that will help. about the tranny, (which i have posted about before) it slips VERY rarely but when it does it seems to be either when i hit a bump or when i have added weight. dunno!! thanks for the advice i will go and and look at those plugs you mentioned
