84 coolant leak

I have a huge coolant leak coming from my new vette, but I cant seem to find the coolant recovery tank to fill it up or check the level. Does anybody know where I can check the level of the coolant and fill it up? Also, does the dash have a light to indicate when you are low on coolant or when the coolant is getting too hot? I see the oil and coolant temperature reading but cant tell what temperature is too hot or too cold. I'm a newbie to vettes and I would really appreciate someones help!
-Thanks

Re: 84 coolant leak

your engine should run in the 180* range so you can go by that, also fill up the radiator itself if you cant find the recovery. I would recomend starting the car, let it run for a 5 mins and open the hood, pull the throtle (or have someone else step lightly on the gas and rev it altiile while you look for leakage aeras, it could be as easy as replacing a hose, this is somthing you want to fix right away.

Thanks, I found the tank and I filled it up, but now it doesnt seem to be leaking. Also, I discovered that the fan does not operate. It must be the sensor or a relay, so I ran a wire from the fan to the cockpit so that I can turn on the fan whenever the temp. starts going up.
