HELP my car heats up!!!

O.k. this is the thing i bought my Lude and it was leaking water from the Radiator so we thought that was the problem y my car was heating up so we got the radiotor fixed (the same one) and now it doesn't leek water or anit-freez since we put that now...but it still heats up but not while i'm driving only when it seats still for more then 5 minutes...what could be my problem? please help and my "check engine" goes on after like 15 minutes that i have drove my car but goes back off when i turn off and turn back on my car (i know weird) please HELP!!!

oh by the way my fans aren't working could that be the problem....and no oil doesn't go into my radiator or engine...so it isn't a head gasket or a head cracked....guys any info will help thankss alot

might as well replace your thermostat while you were getting the radiator fixed. A radiator is no good with no air flowing through to cool the water.

Well, it's good that you don't have oil going into the radiator, but you need oil in the engine. Way too much friction will cause your car to heat up real quick. Just playing. Your fans could be the problem. When you're moving, you get enough cooler air in the engine bay, but when you sit, the heat created by the engine just sits there. Get those fans working.

LoL i mean water doesn't go into the engine...LoL thankxxx for the correction "juicy19" i'll get a new thermostat and get those fans working...thankxxx guys keep the info coming...i'll try to get these two things done a.s.a.p

Try a coolant system flush. You might need new coolant.
