Need Swap info for ae86

I was wondering about an Sr20 swap into a sr5. I have heard of this being done but I know nothing of the difficulties of this swap or anything. Any info would be great or if anyone has done this b4, or any comments.

i know of someone in Sydney that did that converson on his front lawn, so it couldnt be too difficult, my friend was also about to do the same thing untill he decided to put a 20v in instead, u might wanna consider a more powerfull toyota engine (eg. 20valve 4a-gze) instead of the SR20.. becasue they will bolt straight into the engine mounts and are alot less trouble. Up to you in the end, i know that the gearbox will sit further back than normal becasue of the dimensions of the cars the SR20's come out of. Only other thing to worry about is where u get the engine (probably half cut) from. make sure u get all the sensors and wiring loom etc. Talk to others in your area that have sprinters and ask there opinions, no offence but i think u will find alot of people will tell u to put something like the 4A-GZE in there, u can turbo that if u want easily enough, and it hauls ass thats for sure. Good luck with your project man, be interested to see how it goes. Chris
