Return Of The Chevelle!!!!!

Everyone go grab the latest issue of Hot Rod magazine and see for your selves. I was reading an article about the new GTO's yesterday in Hot Rod Magazine and they hinted at the return of the Chevelle based on the GTO platform. Hey it's no camaro but if i can't have my camaros back yet a chevelle if done right should tide me over.

Re: Return Of The Chevelle!!!!!

Lutz is the man, not only GTO based, but both will be domesticly produced. i remember seeing artists renderings of a monaro with a front clip styled after a 1970 chevelle, hot stuff, 70 chevelle SS is my dream car, so i would be very "upraised" at the sight of one of those in the dealership. specially with a LS6 based powerplant, a six speed available, and a torsen rear with 3.73 gears. oh id be a happy camper. wonder what kind of car loan i can get???...............

Re: Return Of The Chevelle!!!!!

well, sad news for the chevelle, but hope in the future for the camaro, if its gonna share the platform with the GTO. dont know 1.4 mile times, but the goat has 350hp, 0-60 in 5.3seconds, which is faster than any production camaro built in the last 30 years, (short of the berger camaros perhaps) and 3.46:1 rear end. oh also, wayyy out of left feild, but has anyone else seen chevys concept for the K5 blazer???? im excited, but they need to go all the way and make it a full convertable, rather than just a removeable rear cover like the isuzu amigo. im personally writing GM's product devision about the chevelle, camaro, and K5 this weekend, it sucks though, they dont have email, you have to print up a adobie acrobat form, and hand write it, and mail it to them through the post office. lol, come on GM, though yall were high tech

Re: Return Of The Chevelle!!!!!

Here's to Lutz bringing some exitement back to GM!!
I don't care what name they put on them, so long as affordable rear drive V-8 power comes back to the mainstream.
If they don't come through, we should all do like 99camaroSS says, and give 'em hell at the front gate!

With Ford punching out the new Mustang in a few short months, GM is going to have to respond with something better than the GTO. LEts hope its an affordably price Camaro.
