Is an underdrive pulley even usefull for a second generation?

I am just looking at various options for my 2000 neon and I'm just wondering if an underdrive pulley will even do me any good with everyday driving situations (I drive fast all the time if it makes any difference.)

The underdrive pulley is to keep the accesories from spinning too fast during high speed runs. There are certin drawback to putting them on a daily driver expecially driving around town...
