Thumbs down Idle shaking

Hi. I was just looking for some advice before I take my car into a shop. Whenever I start my car up and it's in idle or stopped at a light, the vibrations from the engine are strong enough to shake the entire car. It idles fine without any missing, backfires or lurching. It's just vibrating horribly. Am I looking at bad or worn out motor mounts as the cause or something else? Thanks!

Re: Idle shaking

More than likely it is the motor mounts, especially on the 98's, mine shook like crazy and in the same situations you're noting.

Re: Idle shaking

I agree about the motor mounts.I have a 97 pro' I am about to replace mine. My car shakes bad when I am stopped , it doesn't shake as bad when I am in park..
