Re: 3 Litre Single VS 2.5 Liter Twin ?
Well that all depends on how much you want to spend, IMO the 7m is more reliable because I can go out and find a complete engine anywhere, do a full and complete rebuild with a MHG and ARP studs for less than $1K and have it last me 100K miles without any problems. Then throw on a few simple mods and have a very reliable 300+hp car. For the 1JZ your looking at paying around $3K for just the front clip, a little extra for the throttle cable and some hoses and the wiring harness, and this is assuming you can install it. Once it's in though you have a very reliable 280+hp. So it's all up to you, I'd rather have $2K in my pocket for mods and be able to get parts from the local autozone rather than having to order and wait for weeks getting JDM parts from toyota. Stock for stock though the JZ series is a far more reliable engine.

Yea, you got it, for the money and the readily available parts the 7m wins hands down. Stock reliability the 1jz wins.
