Pug 206 WRC (Monte Carlo) - Progress Thread

I finally got most of the stuff I ordered delivered today so I thought I'd share the goods with you and start a progress thread whilst at it.

The basic kit (superb Tamiya quality as usual)

Allthough very complete kit, it still needs some extras like real seatbelts and off course the marlboro decals.

Marlboro decals are from Renaissance and come with some extra resin parts (don't know which ones I will use, if any). I also haven't decided if I will spray the white parts on the chassis or use the decals that come with the Renaissance kit (will save me alot of time masking but might give a less realistic effect; any advise?).

Only thing that I still need are the grade-up parts from Studio 27 (if I'm correct it comes with a template for the '206' on the front grille). If anyone needs more detailed shots of the kit or the grade-up parts, let me know.

Well, if you are modeling that version of the car...you should have to use the dash and rear wing. If I remember correctly, the rear wing in the kit has the little fins on it but is shaped wrong. It should look like the one on the box art (like the resin one), but is straight on the sides.

Can't wait to see the progress on this one.

At this site you can view the box contents and the assembly guide. Also the paint scheme can be viewed from each model.

Re: Pug 206 WRC (Monte Carlo) - Progress Thread

Ha! that kit is anything but complete. However in the Ranaissance transkit you do have most of the tools needed to build a real 2003 Pug. The S27 PE looks pretty good and does come with a template for spraying the 206 logo on the grill. Or at least the 2002 version did, is there a seperate set for the 2003 car? I doubt it.

Good luck with the build, gotta start mine some time, a gravel version of course!

Been some time since I worked on this kit (been busy with some major changes at work) but in the meantime I got my s27 parts.

It's the 2002 version but most of the items can be used on this kit.
