Post Programming remote keyless 1994

First you will need a jumper wire about 12" to 24" long. Next is to undo the two straps located on each side of your glove box and dropping it forward. Next you will need to locate the ground wire that will program your remote. It is usually located just behind the glove box on the right side. This wire should be fastened vertically and will appear to be unpluged from something (it is not). This is the ground wire used only to program the remote. With the key in the on position use your jumper wire to jumper the ground wire to any metal surface. When you have made the ground all the doors will either lock or unlock automatically. When this happens press either the lock or unlock button on the remote to program it. The total time to program a remote from start to finish should only take five minites at most.

Re: programming remote keyless entry

We have a '95 Grand Caravan LE that was bought used without a remote. I have a feeling that it did came with one.
If I undo the two straps on each side of the glove box and locate the ground wire on the right side that will program a remote. Would this mean that I can get a remote and be able to program it?

Yes, but you need to get the right model remote for your vehicle. And of course if your van does not have the ground wire its a no go. Just because the vehicle came with automatic door locks doesen't mean it also came with the remote door option. Many did not.
