i have a 91 n/a and i think i threw a rod but not sure!? when i get 2 like 4 grand i here like a "clacking. i think it is a rod but not sure so jekyl or anyone that can help plz reply.

Its really hard to diagnos engine sounds without acctually hearing it. It depends on where the noise it, what kind of noise, and how loud. Take it to an engine rebuilder. He should have a stethiscope to listen where its coming from to help you out, and give you a general idea. If its bad, save as much money as possible to replace as much as you can once its out

As stated, there is no way to really diagnos an engine noise over the net.
I would find a reputable mechanic and get his opinion. Don;t tell him what you think it is, let him come to his own conclusions
