1997 gm yukon spindle sized

Hello all
Today I herd some grinding noise on pass side wile driving. I went to press the brake and it hit the floor i had to use the emergincy brake to stop! when i took the cap off the rim peices of berrings where everywhere! i actualy took off the weel with the rotor! i went and got new berrings. When i started to clear up all the mess i found that one of the old berrings was sized to the spindle. I tryed hard to pull it off but its sized on their prity good. my question is should i just cut off the sized berring and sand the spindle a bit and but eveything back on? Im saying this because i cant find the spindle anywhere not even the junk yard! And dealer wants 300 for it which i dont have at this point.
tks
Gms suck nothing but problems since day 1 and expencive parts!
thumbs down GM!

If the spindle isn't totally destroyed, cutting off the bearing inner race and polishing the spindle will probably be ok, but if its got deep cuts or has a twist, or if its bent dump it. look very closely at the groove to see any twist.Don't chance it if you get the feeling its borderline then get rid of it.And if you don't like GM go buy something else, all trucks need their front wheel bearings re-packed once in a while, read the owners manual.

ill take a look at it tommrow. also the bearings where new and where repacked 600 miles ago new roters new bearings new caliper and lines it seams as if the bearings where defecteve. Also you cant tell me 300 for a spindle is a good price!

It sounds like the seal may have been cut during installation or something, as defective bearings really aren't very common.
And $300 for a new spindle is probably a fair price, its a complex machining, and is an expensive forging to start with. I found several at wrecking yards for much less, as an example go to WWW.gundies.com they have them for 75 bucks, and will ship them anywhere. Your also likely going to need a new rotor as well.
