Keep the cast iron or get a SS?

Ok I am going turbo. Should I keep the Cast Iron manifold or sell it and get the tubular SS one?

if your going turbo, then you'll need to replace the manifold anyway. might as well get a good design.

if you're talking about SSautochrome, i've heard nothing but bad bad things about their poor quality products. port the HF manifold out and you should be fine

Re: Keep the cast iron or get a SS?

Ahh so the ssautochrome turbo manifold is junk?????

I have heard that their intake manifold (OBX) was questionable ...

But I had always wondered (fantasized perhaps?) about that (seemingly) beautiful TURBO manifold available for oh-so-cheap on eBay..

Check out: http://turbod16.com/viewtopic.php?t=...t=ssautochrome and http://turbod16.com/viewtopic.php?t=...t=ssautochrome
I will let you draw your own opinion on the eBay/SSautochrome manifolds. Give lovefab.com a look.

The SSautochrome manifolds are known to crack without bracing, not to mention the collector isn't very good and the wastegate placement is not good either. I would just dish out for a lovefab manifold or a good cast piece such as revhard or inline pro.
