Turbo last?
I was thinking i would upgrade to a new turbo and intercooler last.
Get the exhuast n intake manifolds, injectors, fuel pump, n all that stuff n then nitrous. Last do the turbo. I wanna do this becuase i want the money for nitrous. Purging is so nice! I worked with my cousin on his supra adding nitrous. Kinda wanna show all the ricers i know around here wut a fast car really is...(nitrous in mind) Would this be a good idea? |

if i were u... i would do the turbo first intersooler second and the last thing would be NOS...but that is just me... if u wanna show off infront of frens i think a good BOV sound is enough pppppssssssssshhhhhhhhhhhhhh
or add a pimping jl w7 if u intend to setup a streo system later u can also follow this link to see the steps to increase the power without harming the engine ..http://www.dsmtuner.com/tuning-guide/2gturbo/ by the way u dint tell us ur goal??? 300hp 350hp or 400???? or just wanna show off ur car??? |

i was thinking about nitrous last too at first, till i found out how much fun it was....thats why im askin bout this
I dont wanna vent the bov, currently, im not. Im goin for 400! |

ya i know it is fun... but i was thinking it might be too much for the engine to take it without proper intercooler and bigger turbo... dont u think... i may be wrong
but for 400hp... 95gsxracer will reply u tonite

i also think u will have more than 400 hp if u follow the steps..caz kevin has 397 without a nitrous but then its ur car

nitrous is dangerous unless you know what your doin... like how to tune your car for it, i.e. timing, the fuel system, when to spray... some other little stuff that can fuck up your engine in the long run, i would suggest getting a MBC, Exhaust, then upgrade to hard IC pipes, fuel upgrade, FMIC, then upgrade turbo, and if that still isnt enough power, a 50-75 ZEX wet kit!

Running nitrous along with turbo is risky business if you dont fully understand how all this works. Especially on a turbo that likes to blow hot air and cuase knock at nearly stock boost levels. The only time I think nitrous makes sense on a DSM is when you are running the largest turbo you can still spool, and you still want more power. MAgnus ran 10.06 with not nitrous, then a 9.6 with it. I'm not too impressed with nitrous in that example
400 whp isnt hard to do with just a turbo. You just have to know what you are doing. If you dont know what you are doing, nitrous isnt going to help you anyway Your call though.

i do know that "wut" and "ta" are ont english words.
But unfortunately, while I do know a god deal about how nitrous works, I have never run it personally or on a car I have worked on. So I will refrain from commenting. I will just stress again that DSMs can go very fast without it, and turbo systems are complex enough on thier own Wish I could help more.

I would just like to add that while i dont know much about all this, i have read that nitrous is the best bang for the buck in terms of hp vs. $. And w/ the stoutness of the 4g63 it seems like it could take a beating and keep on going. And isnt nitrous just adding basically colder/denser air in the chamber? wouldnt that help the hot turbo air thing? Im still learning so feel free to disregard everything thats nonsense.
