Headunit Replacement

I have an 85 mustang convertable I want to put Clarion DXZ835MP cd player in place of old tape player.......will it fit??? thanks

You'll need to go through three steps to get the correct answer.
(1) Measure the dimensions of the current stereo in length, width, and height.
(2) Go to http://www.crutchfield.com and locate the dash size for your Mustang. I recommend Crutchfield because they have a massive database for almost every vehicle ever made.
(3) Compare the dimensions given by Crutchfield with the dimensions of your stereo. If you stereo is smaller, then it will fit. If your stereo is larger, then it will look like you have a goofy VCR sticking out of your console.

it'll fit, but if you do it yourself be warned: they didn't make it easy for theives to get out the stock deck.

Thanx alot.......I will double check with crutchfield before I buy the new headunit. I already have the old one out.....ur right it was no peice of cake....haha
