rodeo 100k+

Are lots of you guys getting well over 100K miles on 3.2L. Lots of catastrphic engine failure around 100K?

Ours has crappy oil pressure, engine check light (p0140 o2 sensor just upstream of CC- computer or wiring), fuel guage issues... I'm thinking dump it before I have to spend big $$.

Had since new, reguar maintenance, disappointed with the vehicle, too many GM parts?

Reviewing used rodeos, not many over 100K mi. Also not holding value relative to comparable 4 runner. rodeo $5000, 4runner = 9000!!.

Shoulda spent the extra 5,000 on the Toyota, coulda recouped the additional $$ and probably would't be having any problems!!

Thoughts? DCS

Yep, you raise some good points. I agree with you on this if you live in a warm rust-free climate. Here in Buffalo, a $35K 4-runner rusts out just as nicely as a $5K second hand rodeo. Most cases the yota's rot WAY faster! I'll stick with a RoeDayOh.

I bought my 94 Rodeo 3.2L with 101K. I've had to replace the starter, spark plug wires and a CV boot. I've put about 14k miles on it. Seems to get good oil pressure.

I have a 97 Rodeo pushing 130K. No serious malfunctions. I do the routine oil and fluids, but nothing too expensive. Doing maintenance helps out I guess.

I just purchased a '96 3.2 4X4 Rodeo with 120K on it and it runs great. I have no maintenance records, so I'm just starting with what I can see is wrong with it and some normal maintenance. Changed oil to synthetic and gave it a tranny flush (also with synthetic) and this puppy runs and drives smoooooth!

I have 208,000 miles on my 94 4X4 and runs like a champ. I have all my maint records but nothing major unless you count the timing belt ever 90K. I love my rodeo and I am currently looking at the news ones for my wife.
