Spanked by American Muscle...

Once again I knew it was comming . But thats ok, cuz it only makes me want to make my car faster.

Anyway, I pulled up to a light next to a Z06. I didn't rev or anything we just both sat there. When the light turned green he peeled out, I peeled out and then he was gone...

He absolutely killed me in 1st gear. Once I chirped my wheels (feathered the clutch at 2500 RPM's) I began to put the gas pedal to the floor, but once it was there and I hit V-Tec my wheels started slipping? The tires only have 7k miles on them? Anyway, I didn't stand a chance but once my tires started slipping he gained like 3 cars on me, and he already had like 1.5 just from the first few thousand RPM's of first. I shifted to second and chirped my tires again. He shifted to second and a huge puff of smoke came from his tires so I know he was trying.

Once I got into second and my tires kept traction it wasn't as bad as I thought. He only pulled another 3 cars or so from 60-100 at which point I cut it off.

In total he beat me by about 8 cars from 0-100. I think if I had better traction I could have kept it a car length or so closer. I just couldn't compete with all that power and traction he had in the beginning. it was fun though and the guy wasn't a jerk about it he was just wanting to play in his toy and I can respect that because thats all I was wanting to do.

Oh yeah before I came up on the corvette there was a Chevy S10 Extreme that was trying to race me, he attempted to keep up with us, lets just say it wasn't pretty

Whatever you are smoking it must be very strong.

You have a ~ low 15 sec car vs the Zo6 which is a mid 12 sec car...you don't measure this distance in car lenghts you measure it in mumerous bus lenghts.

the 8 cars he put on you means he did not try his max or he was not a very good driver.

and you think with traction you could have kept up within a car lenght...funiest statement ever

oh and fyi the problem is not the traction and the power he had in the begining....at any speed the zo6 would leave your accord like it was standing still

Now stop statements like that which reflect badly on the other honda owners.

Before you go saying stupid shit like my car is a low 15 second car do some research! And learn to read, I said that with better traction I could have managed to keep the loss to about one car length less then what happend. how the fuck did you become a mod if you don't know your shit, or start running your mouth before you do your research and can't understand what people are saying.

8 car lengths ~120 feet which is a touch more than 3 bus lengths, Are you happy now?
And it's a 14.5 sec car stock.

Don't hate cuz you can't afford one. oh and fyi, I am smoking the shit your girl left at my house!

Re: Spanked by American Muscle...

Edit-
I stand corrected that it was not a z06 ( Thank god). I looked at the wheels on a z06 and this one did not have those wheels. The wheels on this one looked like the Centerline RPM's. I appologize to you guys and the car gods for my ignorance.
And he was trying cuz when I slowed down he kept going about another 1/2 mile up the road. Plus he chirpped his wheels a third time durring the race.

Low 14's (as in 14.1-14.2) has been achieved with the Accord V6 six-speed. The automatic, 4-dr, fully-loaded EX version was recently tested by Motor Trend at 14.8.

your implication was by no means clear.

therefore, before you start using big words like "f^*" and "stupid sh&^" when you are refering to me, check your own writing

and oh yeah boo hoo i cannot afford some cheap entry level sedan. Do you know anything about my financial situation. NO so please refrain from comments like that

and if you notice i did place the "~" before my low 15 sec estimate since i was not sure of the exact perf numbers

I appologize for my language, but why do you think I drive a sedan? And mathematically the "~" stands for roughly, you are correct; however, you were not roughly in the right numerical range.

I will also be more than happy to refrain from comments on your cougar, as well as your financial situation, obviously there isn't much to talk about there anyways . My bad, I couldn't help myself.

Yes the cougar is more than adequate transportation since I am currently in college.

It is also an adequate performer at the local AutoX events

Do you have any further coments to make?

Oh and btw its sad that you value a person by what they drive.

Do you know anything about my personal values? No so please refrain from those comments..................

I'm done with this. We are both acting stupid trying to throw in one last comment. You can finish up if you like.

Sorry to the people who actually take the time to read through all this garbage.

Re: Spanked by American Muscle...

This is awesome...i'm so glad I took the time to read it!!!

For the guy w/ the accord, your car is fast, but please do not compair it to a vette by an estimated distance. From you degrees or highschool physics you should know F=ma and figure out your car doesn't come close. HP:Weight ect.

I do know that accords can burn the hell out of the tires and even if you have traction when vtec hits you can break loose a little.

These guys are just picking on you and for good reason. Maybe because of all the other day dreamers that think their civic and eclipses can take a car with twice the hp. Seems like and endless battle until you take your car to the track for 20 bucks and scan the time sheet. Simple fix to argument!!!

I'm glad that we could ammuse you

I agree that never in my wildest fantasies could my accord beat a vette and I appologize to any vette owners if they felt I was doing this, and you're also right that it is a little ridiculous to put a distance on such an unfair match up. But it is fun to race them still

In the spring I will take my car to the track and run it, everyone will find out how bad of a driver I am

So many people on this site jump down people's throats without fully comprehending what the person said. This would of never happened if you took a few minutes to actually comprehend what was being said, especially being a mod. That's all i have to say
