Hello,
yesterday, while checking some older magazines from the 70's, I came accross a few pictures which reminded me of the new F1 cars: 1* Who said that Mc Laren invented the mid wing back in 1995? Ferrari was allready testing such a device back in 1977! Sorry for the poor quality... 2* And what about all the fuss with Arrows a few years ago who tested an additional front wing? Mc Laren allready tested such a wing in the practice sessions of the Spanish Grand Prix of 1978! 3* And last but not least, even the new Williams seems to be less original after seeing following picture . This is Rutherfords Brabham at Indianapolis of 1972 ! ! !![]() Enjoy! Aerogi

Re: Recycling...
Every thing old is new again! Great pics aerogi.
Similar deal with a lot of other recent innovations, like Ferrari's periscope exhaust and McLaren's radiator chimneys. All can be traced back to some obscure experiment in the 1970's. I think I've said it before - those were the days! |
