Question T-bird 97 Keyless entry remote

i just changed the batteries in my keyless entry remote and i asume that when you change the batteries it resets the remote code. i have no idea of what to do.

Get to a library and find a Mitchell electical manual that deals with the 97. They give step by step instruction to help isolate the probem.

P.S. Make sure the batteries aren't upside down.

Lil Weird.Ive replaced it many times and nothing of the such has happened to me.Could be the upside-down battery thing.
