keyless entry remote programming

just wanted to see if anyone knows how to program a keyless entry remote for a 1995 chrysler cirrus LXi. i heard of one way that involved connecting a jumper wire to two of the pins on the data link connector, but i don't know which pins to connect. can anyone help?

The only way to reprogram the keyless entry remote transmitters is to take it to the dealer. They use a scan tool to reprogram the keyless entry. I have called various companies that sell the remote, and i was told that this is the only car company that uses a scan tool for the keyless entry reprogramming. Wether you program one remote or two it is the same price. If you only have one remote i suggest you buy another one. It is cheaper to order throught the internet. Keylessride.com sells them for about 55 dollars. That is cheaper than the dealer which charges 100 dollars.

Re: keyless entry remote programming

This question is for the person who told me i was wrong. Do you realize that the connector on the cirrus is tucked away in the driver's side near the door. I'm also curious does this technical service bulletin also apply to the cirrus and stratus. According to the bulletin the cars that it applies to are the chrysler sebring, dodge avenger and the eagle talon. I looked at the diagnostic connector on my cirrus and it is quite difficult to see the pins due to the location. Can this connector be pulled out. Any information would be helpful. If this is the case then i can save myself a few dollars in the future. Another note: the later year cars don't require a scan tool. When you purchase a remote from the net you get the programming instructions.
