question
curious i have friends telling me diff stuff on what weight i should have for my flywheel which will be going on my b20 vtec turbo motor with an ls tranny...any you give me some answers be ncie i have one saying 12.5 another saying 8 lbs i confused big time....all feedback welcome thats suitable for this post

if you dont have a very well kept transmission and a bad ass clutch, then dont get the 8lb flywheel. your revs will drop crazy fast. also, when you go to take off, you will have to slip the shit out of the clutch or else the car will die. I have a friend with a 94 del sol VTEC with an 8 lb fidanza flywheel.. the car revs like a crotch rocket, but you have to shift lightning quick even with putting around town.

ya kris saying gor for like a 12.5 lb.. i dont wanna be having to work hard get the car to go...friend saying go for an 8 lb to spool the turbo fast but like your saying all those problems i will have making me just gonna get a 12.5 and i will also have a good clutch thinking going for a act stage 3 or 4 dont know yet..know a better clutch let me know

you dont want a light weight flywheel for turbo, it wont keep the spool up during shifts.. if anything, get a moderaly lightened from stock.. 8lbs is definately over kill in this situation
