Radio code

I have a 1995 Honda Accord with a sick radio. I need the code for the radio. The following information is available: CQ-LH1410Z SN: 93c830983.

I bought this car used for my daughter.

Sounds like you already removed the radio to gain access to the SN. Now with the radio removed, drive the car over to Honda & get the code for free.

You also might want to check all compartments & under removeable covers(fuse boxes, etc) for a little white sticker containing the SN & radio code. The sticker should be on/in the car if the orginal tech properly PDI'ed the car.

If the radio displays code error you must remove the back-up fuse from main fuse box(underhood) & re-enter correct code.

Nothing against you chast, but one of these mod's needs to put a radio code sticky in every honda/acura forum. Very common question with the same answer.

Good question. Honda OEM radios are not cheap at all. If some one steals an anti-theft radio it's useless unless they know some one to get the code. The dealer will not give out a code over the phone or with the radio only - Radio SN must match VIN.

Instead of stealing radio's airbags are hot items. I had a kid bring his car in with both air bags missing but aftermarket $400 radio, camera, & bunch of CD's untouched.

Thanks Jackasssi,

I did find the code in the trunk of the car on a little white tag. It worked as advertised. Thanks again. \Cchast

Right on, now make sure to write down the code in a few places.
