Re: Turbocharging questions
First off, before you should even think of strapping a turbo to your motor, you should know exactly how a turbocharger system works. Also before you attempt it yourself you should either: A. know about everything there is to know about forced induction with turbos; B. have an expert on hand for the job.
Now the coarse of action is all dependent on what you want to spend. If you have the money with little knowlege of forced induction you can go for an expensive kit and have it installed. But if you're more a do-it-yourself type with the knowlege of a turbo system, you can peice together what you need, I prefer this way.
But if you want to peice it together, you will need a turbo, manifold, intercooler(optional) w/ piping, and blowoff valve. A couple other things would be a rising rate regulator, boost controller(grainger valve $6.99), and a few extra things that you may want. This is usuallty the cheapest route.
