1991 jimmy starter removal???Help Please

I have a 1991 S15 jimmy 4x4, I want to replace the starter, but I can,t seem to get it out, I can disconnect the solenoid wires, and the two bolts that hold the starter in place, the problem is I don't have enough room to pull it out, If the bellhousing was off I could probly get it free, I tried to turn it a different angles nothing works, So whats the trick, Do I have to jack up an area to make room to get it free or what, any help or suggestions would be great thanks....

You've probably have it figured out by now but anyway you need to drop the bellhousing inspection cover. Of course one of the bolts is blocked by the exhaust cross pipe. I found that if I took out the bolts I could thing would move enough to get it in and out. Great design!

Yeah I got it out, I had to take off the bellhousing cover, I took off all the bolts on the bellhousing even that one hard one with a little wrench, then the cover dropper down like 4 or 6 inches enough to move and get the starter out, I have to say the hardest part wast getting the wires off the solinoid, and putting them back one, my dad had helped me with that, wires were a real pain, I took the tire off and that also helped, I guess the main problem is getting the starter out, So anyone reading this in the future, Like he said take off the bellhousing thats the secret and spray lots of WD40 on those bolts cause mine were hard to crack and I,m pretty stong turning a wrench, thanks...
