Viper 550-HF

I just bought a Tahoe and it has the Viper 550-HF installed on it, but the only feature that works on it is the door lock/unlock feature the remote has four buttons on it. I press the other buttons, but nothing happens.I have no instructions on how it works never had a Viper before I was wondering what are all the features the 550 has? Don't know who installed it.Is there a way to get a manual off the internet to show me how to program the remote and everything? Could I take it to Circuit City or Best Buy and have them look at it?

the viper 550- HF is an alarm with preventative car jacking settings. From what you are noting it appears that its installation my have not been completed, i.e. they may use the alarm with the existing unit wiring. You may want to find a DEI dealer (viper is one of the models) before going to the Best Buy type places. You may also be able to find information from AMP of America.

goto www.directed.com and look up owners manuals. You can even download the install manual too. Even though you have a 4 button remote, the bottom 2 buttons don't really go to anything.

Thanks for the help. I downloaded the manual and got everything working. Awesome alarm I really like the remote start
