Talking Good Price? 79' Datsun 280ZX

Hey, i am buying this car, a 79' 280Zx, as the name says.
I looked at EVERYTHING, floor panels are unrusted, small amount of surface rust, needs a new Fuel pump and a new Battery.
The inside is pretty nice, other than some wiring hanging from the far back of the passenger dashboard.
its 450$ Canadian, is this a good deal? its going to be my first car ever, for learning and restoration, because i want to be an automotive technition. Plus im only 14, will this be an ok car to start with?
Thanks alot!

you picked a perfect car to buy.. the L series motors are probably one of the easiest motors to work on.. and for $450 thats not a bad deal... id say get it...

The only thing that you may find hard is working with the fuelinjection. If it starts acting up look into back fitting an older set of twin SU carbs in place of the fuel injection. Another thing you should keep in mind. Older Nissan's had a real bad time with the fuel tanks rusting on the inside. So if you start getting plugged fuel filters now you you where to start looking. All said you have picked a real fun first car.

Re: Good Price? 79' Datsun 280ZX

Great, thanks alot guys.
Hey, is it true that BNR-32 and BCNR-33 fuel injectors fit the Datsun? i have been to more than one site that says it fits and works great with them,
but i have my doubts...
