Taurus Flasher

I'm feeling really stupid but can someone tell me the location of the flasher on the Taurus? Turn signals and hazards went out. Fuse is good so I bought a replacement flasher but I'll be damned if I can find where it's located. I've looked everywhere I can under the dash.

Talking Re: Taurus Flasher

Bobcat,
I went throught the same thing with my 1996 Taurus. I went to 3 different automotive supply houses to get a flasher for the car after the flashers and the signals went out. On my car if you look under the dash there is a metal support tab with a small blue box about the size of a sugar cube that simply slides onto a little metal tab. If you are sitting in the seat l;ike you are driving the location is right under the lip of the lower dash and is attached just on the right side of the steering column support assembly. It has a red wire, a light blue wire and one other one Im not sure of going to the box. The little bracket is held on with one small screw. I found it easy enough to simply slide the whole box off the bracket and unplug it. It has 3 prongs and tons of numbers on all sides. I took that to the store and was informed thats not the flasher. Its the flasher relay. They had sold me the silver round plug in model on most earlier autos and got that information right out of the computer. Anyway after getting the relay and pluggin it up, the flashers and the signals work fine. I spent the better part of a day loking for this part and checking everything from wiring to bulbs and all in between. Hope this helps you out. By the way the one they sold me is not blue but is black in color. Take care!
