i don't want to seem ignorant or rude, as i am pretty new to the import scene, but i don't understand why people do this. why would you get an accord only to spend a ton of money making it look like a different car?

Hey Neuoby where you from?

As for jazer's question...a lot of people ask the same question and I don't know if he's interested in it for the same reason, but I think people do it to make their accords a little different than all the other ones out there. In his case, I don't think he wants to make his car look just like an S14...or fool anyone into thinking his car is an S14...I think it's just something he sees as being a little different. And of course conversions are very popular in the show scene, so it's getting even harder to be different. And if he ever decided to show his car, that'd be exterior points.

Re: 97 Accord conversion

Jazer, at first I asked myself the same question. I came up with this: If you want to show your car off you gotta go with something different from all the rides out there and that is one of the reason why I'm planning on doing this. Plus I didn't have the patience to save money on a S14, I wanted a ride right then and there so I bought an Accord knowing that it would be one sick ride. Just think about it, don't you think it would be nice to have a vehicule that looks like your dream car? I think so, what do you think??

Sure I'm new in this but I gave alot of thoughts about it and I think that doing mods like this is the way to go. I like someone said: why stay in house when you can CREATE a whole new car?!

I'm looking for suggestions, so if you have any ideas of gaining show points let me know!!

thanks bud

Edit:Ok, I just got your pm so I'll leave this part of my reply and then I'll hit you back with a pm too...the first thing I asked in this reply was "WHERE ARE YOU FROM" but now I know, so I'll hit you back.

Pick up a copy of B/Scene and that should get you pointed in the right direction. I'm in the middle of a conversion right now so I can feel you on this. If you wanna earn points, well there's lots of different ways to earn points, but if you wanna go all out with your car, then do just that. Go to the extreme with everything as long as good work is done and the car is tasteful. You don't want to pile every exterior mod out there onto your car and then have it look just like that...a pile of...
If you have any other questions, you can always hit up Andy Goodman at the NCCA. www.nationalcustomcarassociation.com They're the ones responsible for judging all of Vision Entertainment's shows. I don't know how much info, he'll give you, but I'm sure any advice he could give is good advice.
This is a good example of a show car and SHE'S been kickin ass and takin names

S14 front ends are badass, that's why...

And yes, it's possible.
