Flywheel

My Pontiac grand am,99,2.4L flywheel has broken. The dealer told me that it must be change. So I check out all the websites about Flywheel and found out that there were many flywheel. My question is what brand and how can I buy a good flywheel to increase my car power. Thank you

Re: Flywheel

is it an automatic, Then it would be called a flexplate. There isn't much you can do with a flex plate, but if you have a manual trans you can buy a lighter one to make the engine rev faster. But I haven't heard of a manual trans flywheel breaking, maybe the teeth getting broken or something to that nature.

Re: Flywheel

Yeah, there are definately pontiac forums, as well as TWO reminders in the introduction forum to NOT post problems here. Moved to Grand Am forum.
