81 thunderbird runs then dies then runs

81 t-bird 302

i'm having a couple problems, 1: it runs for about 10 miles, then quits. if i wait for about an hour or so , ican get back in and it starts up with no problems for about another 10 miles or so , then dies again. i asked some friends and they pointed me towards the ignition controll module, and i got a new one, installed it and it is still doing it.

help.
