Brief introduction

Hey guys,
I just realized that I just kind of "popped in" and never really introduced myself.

To keep from boring you guys I'll keep this as short as possible.

I'm from Seattle, now living in Iwakuni, Japan. I'm working as a contractor for the Marine Corps and I'm former Navy.

I have always loved Camaros. My first was a Black on Black, 68 SS with the original 327 and the factory 202 Double-Humper heads. Not especially fast but a classy car. My last was a 96 M6 SS Convertible #816.

I have been racing and building cars off and on for the last 15 years. Cars are my life.

I won't ever claim to be an expert in anything but hopefully I may be of some shred of help to someone eventually.

Me and my baby... May it rest in peace...

Unhappy

It unfortunately met an untimely end by some prick in a Ford Explorer with no insurance. He slammed into the passenger side at 45mph.

That was the closest that I ever came to killing a guy. That car was one out of 263 Camaro SS's made in '96 that was both a convertible AND an M6. Had leather too.

Oh, well. I'll buy another one someday.

Woaw you must have some discipline and self control. I woulda gone nuts on a guy if he's slammed my car like that, especially without insurance. Sorry to hear your beautiful SS died so tragically. Welcome to the forums

Welcome to the board. I know I'd have killed him if someone hit me like that in my car...

It would have been justifiable in my eyes.

Re: Brief introduction

Yeah, if he wrecked my Camaro...I would strongly consider going and eather beating him to a pulp, or suffocating him and making it look like he died in the accident.

Re: Brief introduction

lol, yeah, the only reason im not in jail from my accident is that as i climbed out of my T-tops, walked over to the car, prepaired to rip someones head off, it was a tiny, terrified little old asian woman, and i just couldnt do it. lol. but i was rather upset at the time. to put it mildly.

Thanks, I appreciate that. I was referred to this board by matada who is a good friend of mine here in Japan and so far I've been really impressed by (most) of the people here.

I'm still learning my way around the imports and some of the newer technologies but so I'm limiting myself to the Ford and Chevy threads for the time being.
