Post ATENTION: Diagram & Question Thread

Hi, today the mechanic shop checks my car wiring, and found an a white cable disconnected in the ICM (Ignition Control Module), the guy says are 2 white cables, 1 for RPM's and the other are disconnected, i need your help with a diagram to connect it and maybe that cable is the problem. Someone can help me?. Other whise, i have another question... im interesting to know how the Boost Gauge works. What sensor or thing takes the air pressure to display in the gauge... Maybe if someone can send me the diagram of the Boost Gauge.

Thanx...

Well, I only ask because your post was a bit hard to understand. Sorry if I offended.

Re: ATENTION: Diagram & Question Thread

Misfire, alot of codes on the SES Light... and all the solutions says "Check Wiring Harness", then the mechanic shop check the wiring harness and found that white cable disconnected. Under the Coils (where the spark plugs wires connect) are a socket with a lot of cables, the mechanic shop guy says in that socket are 2 white cables, 1 is for RPM's and the other are disconnected... and i need the diagram or something to know where the cable go. Someone can help me?.

Re: ATENTION: Diagram & Question Thread

Ripn12s, My car has dans-website technique for the boost gage. Moshimo, the easiest way for now is to check for a female(or male, depending on the connector you found) connector that would fit the one you found. I remember that my Z-34 have some unconnected cables for testing purposes like the one near the OEM airbox that is used to activate the fuel pump applying 12V to it.
If there is no other unplugged wire near by, it might be for testing purposes and the problem could be related to plugs cabling, shorted plugs or leaking coil shorting herratically. What are the SES codes?

The other white wire goes to the PCM Powertrain Control Module. The first one does goes to the tach. The wire on the far side of the clip to the Ignition Control Module should be #1 tan/blk (bypass control ) , # 2
white ( ignition control to pcm ), #3 white to tach, #4 light blue/ blk 18 + reference signal, etc. Hope this helps. Also check out www.theautoguru.com and ask the Guru your question for faster responses! Hope this helped!
