new to site

I'm new so I just wanted to say hello to everyone on this site/forum. Everybody has great topics and threads. A lot of good advise from obviously experienced truck owners.
I have a 2000 LS, 5.3l, short-n-wide.Sunset gold(!) w/ factory aluminums. Had the truck about a year and a half and love it! No big mods yet, but this forum is giving me great ideas. Keep up the good work everyone!
I also have a 1952 5 window that I'm working on as well.
What does everyone else drive/have?
I live in Dallas,Tx as well! Where's everybody from?

I'm from Mississippi. Welcome to the board. My beater used to be an old 91 Chevrolet silverado, but I sold it. Now the only thing I drive is my 99 Stepside. This is a great board, and people are very helpful.

Hey Nucleus, I'm from Missouri. My stepdad had a 1954 5 window. He had it sitting on a 1987 4x4 Blazer chassis that he cut down to make it fit. Those trucks are pretty neat! I'm like you - no major mods yet but I sure am learning alot from these other guys.

Hey Nucleus,

Welcome to the board. Since ive been here, everyone has been really helpful and there are allot of experienced and knowlegeable people.

I have a 89 1500 single cab shortbed with a 350. The only mods i have are the ones my dad put on there before i bought it from him. A leather Taneau cover, wide tires and five hole brushed alluminum rims. Removed pinstripe, and put in a smoked 1 piece window. Dropped rear end to make level. Pioneer 12 disk, bazooka bass, and some custom made box with an 8" my old man had put in. and 800 watt amp.

Im lookin to put bucket seats in in the near future, and gibson exhaust.

Oh yeah and im in NW Auburn, Ca

Welcome to AF

Wade

Hey dude. Welcome.
You are right, the people are very informative and knowledgeable. I know you'll find some great answere here.
I'm from SouthWest Georgia..not much happening here. I drive a 99 Z71 reg cab. All I've done to it is put some 285 tires on it, throttle-body bypass trick, Hypertech III programmer, and I just installed my new K&N FIPK Wednesday..it was money well spent.

Peace

Welcome to the site. I'm a newbie too as I just purchased my 99 Silverado black ext cab 4.8. But, I've been through alot of forums and I'm really impressed with the helpfullness of the people on this one. I see alot of in-fighting other auto forums for cars I own....but this one seems great.

It has already helped me researching intakes and exhausts and with a speaker removal problem. Great site!

You sound like my kind of guy! i have a 2000 Silverado and a 47 5 window. it sets on a 89 camaro frame with a punched and stroked 350 that puts out 410 hp at the wheels the only thing i hate about it is the high price to keep tires on it and the cost of the speeding tickets. welcome to the forum

Re: new to site

Hey everybody, thanks for the welcome. I look forward to visiting this forum on a daily basis. Big shout to my fellow Texans on this board, keep me updated on any shows/events/clubs. If any body has pics of their classics, post them. I'm keeping my 52 stock with a newstalgia theme. Stovebolt 6, dual 1 barrels, Offy in, Fenton out, beehive filter, Wayne covers, front and rear axle flip. Tryin to keep it low buck (yeah right!!).
