99 Explorer Rear Wiper not working

My 99 Explorer's Rear wiper won't come on. Thought it was froze. But after high 30's still did not come on. Won't squirt either. We changed the fuse. Still won't work. Could it be the motor in it or linkage??

I had this problem with my 2000 eddie bauer explorer. I thought it could be the fuse but i changed that as well and it didnt work. I believe it to be the motor but mine MIRACULOUSLY came back on so..... i would check the motor or call your ford dealer and ask about the motor. Sorry i couldnt be of more help

Sounds like the switch or wiring since the washer doesn't work either.

Re: 99 Explorer Rear Wiper not working

Got any lights on? There are three switches in parallel that go into the GEM to turn the interior light on and disable the wiper. Battery saver will eventually turn the light out so the battery doesn't go dead. There is a right anf left switch and one on the glass latch.
