Wanted: Silvia Q's Engine

Hey was wondering if anyone knows where I can get a NA SR20DE? NonTurbo! I want one for either my 240sx or a Datsun 510 I plan to get. Everyone seems to have the SR20DET and even the CA18DET now... can't find the SR20DE. Anyone know the specs on this motor by the way? If it pulls the same HP as the KA24DE I just may reconsider depending on price. Also what are the specs on the CA18DET? I don't hear much about those either.

most of the time u can find them on Ebay listed as DET's to try to fool somone into thinkin there gettin a SR for cheap, i dont see how they could fool anyone, a turbo manifold looks totaly diffrent. not to mention...the valve cover isn't red and the coil pack cover is gone, prety obious to me. but if u wana go all motor ona SR thats were i'de look first

NA SR20DE huh. I hope you know how to build up engines. I know that the FWD SR20DE makes 140hp and i think 130tq, so after a lot of time and $$, you could probably build it up to 250+hp. In the end it would be a very S2000-like motor.

Here is what edmunds says about a 96' 200sx SE-R yes i know you wanted the RWD sr20 specs... but here are the ones for the FWD ( i dont think they are different) www.edmunds.com

Torque: 132 ft-lbs.
Max Horsepower: 6400 rpm
Max Torque: 4800 rpm

i dont care if u dislike me or my attitude, my opinion is that the sr20DE SUCKS and the single cam KA is way better and even makes more torque

Just an example....you can also find them from people who import engines from japan, if they dont show a DE on their page, you can ususally ask them. Its not like your dealing with some high end super corp "menu only" company.
