JDM Specs and Boost info needed

Hello all I just purchased a 91 mr2 with 95 jdm 3sgte engine. I was hoping someone could help me out and tell me the difference in the jdm version and the us version.. The only other thing I need to know is what is the highest boost setting that i should set on my car when i want to take it on the drag strip..

the u.s. 91 turbo comes stock with 200hp... the mr2 in america basically stayed the same except in 1993 they changed some things in the suspention so the rear doesnt snap arround as quickly... also in 1994 they put a different single piece spoiler instead of 3 piece and also put newer looking lights...

this was also done in japan except their mr2 had 225hp instead of the 200hp mainly because the japanese ecu is set to make more hp... then in 1994 they added a different turbo the "ct20b" turbo which is really no such thing but you will hear it all the time... what it really is, is just a later version of hte ct26 turbo that puts out more power (just not to get you confused so you know what it is)... this 1994 + mr2 comes with 245hp in japan but when you do the swap you have to change the ecu so you will not have as much hp as you think but will still have a good amount...

im not sure how much boost you can run on that turbo but i think it is ~20psi... i would check with someone else though

Thanx for the info, I did the complete swap. the engine, ecu, wiring harness, intake, exhaust, sway bars, strutbars, suspension, brakes, etc. thanx again

i think that in the U.S. the 3sgte can run 14.7 about before the ecu cuts the fuel off. i think
