Toyota Estima/Previa Zeus (In progress and nearly finished - lots of pics)

Hi all,

First of all, this car is not from me. I'm in a kind of modelingblock for the moment so don't expect too much from me for the moment.

It has been done by my best friend and also member of my club 'Marco' . He doesn't speak english so it's why I created a thread for him.

I'll create him an account here (as soon as he will know some words of english ) and his nickname will be Punch_DVC. And it's what I should use as avatar for him

So stay tuned for his kits because he does an incredible job (IMHO).

This kit is the 1/24 Toyota Estima Zeus from Aoshima. I has put OZ Opera's instead of the rims given with the kit.

So, let's begin with the pics.

As an Hi-Fi lover , he could not let the rear seats and he created a woofer box with sheets styrene:

Testfitted in the interior:

And with the body on:

Now, the places for the woofers and Amps have been cut and the carpet has been applied:

Body primered with Motip automotive primer:

Bumpers and spoilers testfitted before the primer:

The amps have been painted first in black before receiving a light coat of silver:

Now the interior is finished, he painted the seats with Winsor&Newton Oil paints (I teached him how to do), woofers and amps are also painted/glued:

The last elements and side-mirrors have been primered:

And now the body is painted in blue and some details have been painted/glued. I don't know the reference of this colour, all I know is that he took it in the Renault range of colours and he used a Motip automotive spray:

That's all for the moment. The car is finished but he has still not sent me the pics, so I can't show them to you. You'll have to wait a bit.

I'm very proud to show you his work and I hope you love it too.

Xav

PS: If you have questions, it's me who will answer them.

Hey, that's really nice! Those subwoofers can blow the glass right off that van

Cool ICE!!! I like it...looking forward... btw, this Estima is from Fujimi not Aoshima. Aoshima didn't have any of the latest Estima kit.

Hey Fab, sure you'll see it in Ransart next week. He will place it in contest and I hope he will get something. Be carefull for the contest, my members will place some cars and they will not leave a lot of medals to win

I hope I'll receive the finished pics today.

As I explained at the head of this thread, he bought a set of OZ Operas and used them on this kit.
There are nice big rims in the kit but the Operas look a lot better.

No problem Justin, you're not an ass.

As promised, here are the completed pics.
It's snowing here in Belgium, so you'll have to wait for daylight pics.
