Re: Head Gasket-need help

if done by the book and the head is not warped or cracked it should be fine. oil is white because the coolant has entered the lubricating system. changed heads and gaskets on all kinds of engines get a book and dont deviate from it

Yes I have 1999 BMW 323i. I cracked the head and had to have it welded. I took the head in to a shop to get it welded but I did all the rest of the work will the help of my dad. The total cost was about $1000. After the job was completed the car ran good as new. Just make sure you follow the book.

Adam . . . you should just put a M50 motor in your 316i and make it a sleeper . . if not you can buy the long block version of the M40 motor.
