3rd row seat

Hello to all.

I haven't been able to find anything in the forum about adding a 3rd row seat to Tahoe that didn't come with the option from the factory.

I see brackets for sale on e-bay but I haven't removed the carpet in my Tahoe yet to see if the cargo bed is ready to accept them without mods (I can feel the indentations under the carpet). Will the brackets just bolt in? Will they have to be drilled/tapped or a nut welded in to accept them? Anyone have experience with retrofitting a 3rd row seat?

Just undue the plastic trim enough and look under the carpet. I have been told by the dealer when I bought my Tahoe that the holes are there for those who wanted to add the third row seat feature later. I betcha there already there, because there in my 2001 Tahoe, and it did not come with a third row seat. You made need to customize your carpet a little. Your best bet is to look at one that already as one installed. It looks to me they just split the carpet and mounted the bracket, then again you could order a carpet with the cut outs from the dealer

I have recently been looking for a third row seat for my 98 tahoe and I came across a website (www.littlepassengerseats.com). The price might seem a little steep, but this is the only site that I have come across. It seems like a pretty good deal.

I have a set of tan leather (I think its leather) 3rd row seats that came with my 2002 LS that I bought used.

They are in great shape and are wrapped in plastic and in storage. I don't need them nor do I care if not having them affects resale......

I am sure there are other folks that don't use theirs and will sell them.......

Do you still have the seat and how much will you sell it for?

Seats are still in storage. I would sell them for $300, it actually does appear that not having them will affect the resale by $500 or so when I do sell the truck in another year or so.

The buyer would have to pick them up, or meet within an hour of around the Modesto, California area.
