Angry Just failed emissions!

My wife just called to inform me that her 1997 Blazer failed emissions. I did a quick search for the codes that were read: P0740, P0753, P0758, P1860. What I found was an archive from here: 1998 Jimmy Check Engine Light It appears that this gentleman had the identical failure.

The light came on the day that I installed a remote starter on the vehicle. The transmission also acted strange once that day. When pulling up a parking lot, the transmission slipped as if it were in a higher gear that it should be. This hasn't happened since but the light still comes on from time to time. Could this be "noise" in the line from a loose connector causing the ECU to get false reading?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciatted!

Tom

You MUST be certain that the white or pink/white wire is hooked up. If not, tranny failure is certain. It also causes the vahicle to make the ECM go into default mode which would make you fail emissions. I was also told that if you run high octane gas makes it fail too???
