I recently brought a 95 subaru Legacy GT-B, S/W, T/T, 4WD, Manual. Can someone please tell me if this model can be altered to 2WD. I was recently told that some can be put into 2WD and should be if a rear flat tyre occurs.
Can it be done and how? |

There is a fuse holder on the rear side of the passenger's side strut tower. I know you can put a fuse in it to take the car to FWD in the event that the car needs to be towed. I'm not sure if it's safe to run the car in this manner though. I'm also not sure of what size fuse is supposed to be in there.
Edit: this is for the 98 Legacy, but I'm pretty sure my repair manual also applies to your year too.

Diesel2NR: You missed the most important part, he has a manual transmission!
Shqrt: The only thing you can do is get a full size spair or drive it as little as possible. The center differential wont be damaged over a short drive (say 20 miles) on the temp. |
