Sports trac high pitch whistling sound?!
I have a 2001 Explorer sports trac. When I run on highways at about 50mph and up I hear whistling sound from the back. And it got louder as I speed up. It sounds like metal rubbing at the same time ringing sound to it. I heard something similar when the truck door was rubbing even without it I still hear the noise. I think it's something to do with wind caused by the body of the truck. But does anyone have similar problem?

Are you sure it is coming from the back? It may just be a "hole" in the insulation under/behind the dash. This is a common problem. If it is indeed coming from the back, i don't know what to tell you. Is some wind getting through the doors or the cab window? How about the moonroof?
