crankwalk

I have a 92 vr4. I have rebuilt this engine twice and both times the thrust washers have come out and the crank has moved. I heard that this was a typical problem with the vr4. Has anyone heard of this or what could possibly becausing this to happen? How can I fix this so it won't happen again?

its a common problem with 4g63. Some says its due to improper maintenance.
