I'm a honda guy but i need help with a RX7
If i didn't have my honda I would really like to have one of the older
turbo RX7! But Which one has the circle pattern light? I saw won yesterday looking really nice! I was gonna try and take the tail light pattern from that car and some how mold it into my 3gen accord thanks for the help! |

Blasphemy!!! Man, fuggidaboutit! That's just too damn ricey. But FWIW all of the '89-'91s came with the round taillights and then the '97-'01s in Japan have them as well. Instead of just putting the taillight on your Honduh, just sell it and pick up a nice n/a 2nd gen. It's a much better car and will run circles around your Honduh. Stock they didn't come with a whole lot of hp (160 or so), but with the same mods that you'd probably do to your Accord (header, catback, intake, et cetera) the n/a 2nd gen would end up a LOT faster. Rebuild the engine with a street port...or better yet a bridge port, and it'll totally scream and have an 11k rpm redline or so. It's rwd so it'll handle notably better and the chasis is far superior too (it was built to be a pure sports car from the ground up). N/A 2nd gen RX7's (1986-1991) can be had really cheap. I've seen them go for as little as $500, but then again you kinda get what you pay for. Turbo II's can be had relatively cheap too, but they're slightly more prone to problems just simply due to the fact that it has more parts and has boost running through it. They're nice to have, but are more costly not only in initial purchase, but to mod as well. Just my .02¢

Well I know a lot of n/a 1st and 2nd gen's that are nearing 300k miles so where you got that info I don't know. Now the 3rd gens are a different story entirely which I won't go into cuz I'm still bitter about mine
Anyway though they'll still look good on your car no doubt, but it might be a lot cheaper just to take your stock lights apart and make a template out of some adhesive film and do it yourself. A lot of the 3rd gen guys I know do that as buying the '99 J-spec lights costs about $500. I know of an all rotary salvage yard that has the real '89-'91 taillights probably. It's called Mazda Auto Recycling, but I'll have to look up the url for it though. I'm sure they wouldn't cost a whole lot, but personally I'd just do the template thing and save the money for other go fast goodies.

Ok the link is: www.mazdarecycling.com They're located in Rancho Cordova, Cali, but they ship anywhere. Their prices aren't too bad either. Might even be able to get a rotary engine to drop in there too
heh jk

definetly sell the honda for an rx. what year is the accord by the way? i had a 96 for a while, that was a blast. V-tec is great and all, but rotary and rwd is sooo much better. i do miss that honda though, it could seat 4... but what's the point when all you need is some space for groceries and your girl right?
