Hi, first time on board and need help!! WINDOW REGULATOR

I found this board when I did a search on window regulators. So I help you folks can help. My name is Paul.

I own a 1986 Buick turbo GN with manual crank windows and I am trying to tighten up the window. The last item I am down to is the window regulator. It appears that the center pivot is very sloppy. Can I replace the rivet or just tighten it somehow. It looks like there is a plastic spacer in between the arms on one side but not the other, is this correct?
What can I do as opposed to just buting a new one? Any help is appreciated.

paul
