Front end vibrates

I have a 92 Dodge caravan, V6 3.0 engine, 115k miles. The front end of the van vibrates all the time while driving. The vibrations increase in frequency as the speed increases. The vibrations are not very bad, but just bothersome. I tried putting it in neutral while on the highway, but that did not stop the vibrations. I even shut the engine off, but the vibrations are still there. The tires have been changed, and got new front brakes. It almost sounds like vibrations are coming from the driver side near the tire. The only way the vibrations can be stopped is by slightly turning the steering to the right or pressing on the brakes. I am puzzled, what could it be?

Vibrations

I have a 94 and have the same problem. I have been through many different things, but recently had a mechnic tell me that the front bearings are bad. I am going to have them replaced soon, so I'll let you know what happens.

Get the tires balanced and the front end checked. If the tires have shifted belts, they will catch it when they balalnce them. Could be a bad rim too or even a bad axel shaft. When they check the front end they will also check the front wheel bearings for play. If you do not hear any growling noise from the front wheels, your bearings are probably okay.
Good Luck.

94 Caravan vibrations when going 50-70kms

I also have been having vibration problems. It first started vibrating at 68kms-75kms; i got the tires balanced and rotated at that time. A week later, it got much worse and vibrated around 48kms-75kms. I took it to local lube/oil place and they told me that one of tires was almost on edge and the other was an oddball (due to earlier rotation, i imagine). So i got 2 new front tires to correct the tires and it still vibrates...What do i do?
I will phone the tire place tomorrow and tell them all the previous posts suggestions but any new ideas floating around? And how can i be sure that it will help?

Thanks!

Re: Front end vibrates

Check the engine/frame alignment against specs -
If the engine/transaxle are too far to one side, it will load that inner cv (tripod) joint too heavily and can cause vibration. I would also suspect wheel bearings or a bad tie rod inner/outer.
